Easily Message Your Point Contacts/Business Owners in Bulk

Email map contacts in bulk with Proxi crowdsourcing tools

August 6, 2025

If you've ever built a map with dozens or even hundreds of points, you know how hard it can be to communicate with all the people associated with those locations. Whether you're running a shop local campaign, a passport event, or a community directory, staying in touch with your point contacts is key to success.

With our latest update to Advanced Crowdsourcing, you can now add a custom email field to each point. This unlocks the ability to send bulk emails directly to all your point contacts at once.

Why This Matters

Before this feature, you had to send out individual edit links manually to each business or location owner. It was time-consuming, difficult to manage, and easy to miss someone. Now, you can manage communication much more efficiently and give each contact a more seamless experience.

This feature is useful for:

  • Sending bulk edit links so businesses can update their points
  • Sharing event details, check-in instructions, or participation guidelines
  • Promoting sponsorship or advertising opportunities
  • Requesting photos, operating hours, or special offers
  • Keeping everyone informed with schedule updates or engagement stats

How to Use It

  1. Activate the Advanced Crowdsourcing App
Open the Apps tab on your map and turn on Advanced Crowdsourcing.
  2. Create a Custom Field for Contact Emails
Go to your map’s Advanced Crowdsourcing Settings; add a Custom Field with the data type set to Email Address. Label it something like “Point Contact Email.”
  3. Use the Email Tool to Message Your Contacts
Once your point data is populated with email addresses, you can message all of your contacts directly from Proxi. Include helpful details such as event timelines, setup instructions, or a call to action.

Real-World Examples

Here’s how Proxi users are already using this feature:

Main Street Organizations

Send a message to all participating businesses before a passport event. Include event dates, signage instructions, check-in guidance, and a note asking if they want to sponsor the campaign.

Chambers of Commerce

Email all directory contacts with a link to edit their business information. Ask them to confirm hours, update photos, or highlight a seasonal promotion.

Tourism Campaigns

Notify point contacts when their listing goes live on a new visitor map. Include sample social media text and promotional assets.

Event Organizers

Send logistics and booth assignments to vendors before the event; follow up after the event with thank-you messages and performance stats.

Additional Opportunities

This feature doesn’t just help you manage logistics; it also opens the door to deeper collaboration. You can:

  • Promote tiered sponsorship or paid listing upgrades
  • Request participation in additional campaigns
  • Encourage businesses to submit deals or events
  • Share insights on traffic and engagement to build trust

The ability to add and use a custom email field makes it easier to manage your map, communicate with your contacts, and run successful campaigns. What used to take hours can now be done in minutes.

Activate Advanced Crowdsourcing today and start messaging your point contacts with ease.
